(((HUGS))) for you and the kids Heather! An option regarding school for Jordan might be to arrange a Home Bound program (we did that when my Grandma had her stroke) so that you get his assignments before you go and he works on them while you're away and turns them in when he gets back. If you end up driving through El Paso, let me know, you're really close to me then! :) The new passport ID cards are less expensive and take less time and work in Mexico, so that might be another option too. I'll say extra prayers for you guys!

((((HUGS))))))
I'm praying for you guys, Heather. I totally feel for you. A lot of this reminds me of Vince's recent trip to Penn. I"ll just pray that you all are able to come to a mutually beneficial solution. You've got my support, as I'm sure you know.
Lots of love.

OMG hun, I'm so sorry to hear all of this! I'll be thinking about you and your family and hope you can all figure this out. You'll do great driving, I just know you will!! So sorry to hear they couldn't help him earlier to get that medical visa and hope he finds the right doctor in Mexico...

Big hugs to you! Take it easy and don't worry too much, things will turn out right!

Oh sweetie. Great big huge hugs to all ya'll. I was watching the weather (we were supposed to get 5-8 inches last night) and thinking about you. Now this. Dammit man, folks get medical help all the time, why not this time? All ya'll are in my thoughts & prayers.

So sorry to hear about your FIL, I understand your desire for you kids to see their grandfather. I felt that way about my grandmother meeting her grandchildren to.

It's a very tough decision to make, especially when it involves traveling with three small children such a long distance.

On other boards when folks have had something like this come up, folks along the travel route have offered to put them up or provide a meal to help them defray the cost of hotels etc. Maybe if you posted on DST folks would volunteer to help - I know I would if I lived even remotely close instead of half the country away.
