Jordan got up this morning crying that his stomach hurt. I said, get ready for school and we’ll see how you feel. Oh my, crying crying, my stomach, my stomach. Jordan you can’t miss another day of school this week. You’re already missing Thursday and Friday because we’re going to Ohio. Big old crocodile tears. Don’t you care that my stomach hurts, and I’ve got a headache, and I don’t feel go-o-o-o-od.
That’s not how he acts when he’s not sick. So, I’m going to go on my gut and say that he really doesn’t feel good. So, I’m keeping him home. Kind of ruins what I had planned to do today.
See, we went last night to get our hair cut. Right? Worst hair cut experience EVER. And I’ve had some doozies. First, she cuts Jordan’s hair. Zip zip zip, she’s done. I couldn’t tell because it was wet that it was still really poofy on top. That I can fix on my own. Then it’s Kat’s turn. I had taken in a picture of how I wanted my hair cut, and Kat wanted hers like that too. I said that I didn’t want it that short, but kind of modified. She wanted it asymmetrical. First, she wouldn’t cut her bangs. She told me that she had a small forehead and really shouldn’t wear bangs. I said, but she’s 3. She can’t see, she doesn’t keep her hair out of eyes, and she gets food in them. She doesn’t need bangs. Huh? She wouldn’t cut her bangs. Then while she’s doing the rest of her hair, instead of using her hands to position Kat’s head, when Kat would move, she would take her forearm while she was cutting and push down on Kat’s head, and it looked like she was doing it hard. She looked like she was going to bawl. So, I put my hands around her cheeks and gently held her in place and said, mama help you baby. I was getting ticked.
Then it’s my turn. Now, I wanted my hair cut in that cute bob that Victoria Beckham has. I even had a printout with a picture of both sides, front, back, and instructions on HOW to cut it. She said, I don’t need instructions, I just need to see it. I beg to differ. All I can say is, thank goodness she didn’t cut off enough and it can be fixed, and not the other way around. She washed my hair so it was wet. And she started. She kept snapping at the girls for being to close to me. Jordan was trying so hard to help with them. When she got done, it looked ok wet, and I just wanted out of there. So I paid, and we left. When we got home, I washed it again and then blew it dry, straightening it with a roll brush as I went. Then I got out my handy dandy straightener. My goodness she did sucky job. Instead of being choppy on the sides like I wanted, then kind of blended in, it’s short in the back with 2 long chunks right in the front. There’s no layers in it like the picture. Just two big thick funky long chunks.
Soooo, I planned on going back in with Kat and I today. Talking to the manager and making them fix it. We leave tomorrow night. So, I want it done right. Not happy.
I’m wondering if it would be bad to ask my neighbor (I live in an apartment remember) if she can keep an eye on Jordan while I run up there and get it done. But then I feel guilty because he’s sick and I should be home with him. What to do.
Aw crap. I just called and the manager isn’t even there. It’s the woman who cut my hair who answered the phone. I think I may just go somewhere else and then call tomorrow and raise some H3ll.

Why is it so hard to get a decent hair cut!?!?! I have long hair and all I ask for is some layers in it and they can NEVER get it right… or even close to right for that matter. The worse haircut I ever got was the week before my wedding and I asked for a TRIM and soft layers and the woman cut 8″ off my hair and gave me a bob with no layers…it wouldn’t even go back in a ponytail it was so short! Talk about hysterics!
That sucks, hon! Honestly, that’s why I go to my sis when I need my hair cut because she KNOWS how mad/hurt I’ll get when it’s done wrong. Every salon I’ve ever been to has cut it way shorter than I like.
Hope Jordan feels better. TRY to have a good day! [hugs]
First, you’re way nicer than I am. I’ve had people try to tell me how to cut my son’s hair and I tell them no, you will do it this way. When she refused to cut Kat’s bangs, I’d have said “Fine. We’ll be leaving now.” And I’d refuse to pay for her crappy job. And then STILL call the manager and raise h3ll. But I’m a pushy broad like that when I’m paying for something.
Second, I hope Jordan feels better, and all goes well for your trip.
I hope you are feeling better from yesterday. If I was you Id be ticked about the hair cuts including Jordans even if you can fix it. But then again Im a witch when it comes to that, but give me good service and its worth it for you lol Have a great trip and hope Jordan feels better soon, poor guy!
Hello stranger!
How have you been Heather? Been busy huh!~ I hope Jordans tummy ache is okey by now..Take care and enjoy the rest of the day there! Xo~
First of all, I need to apoligize for laughing at you breaking your ass yesterday. Karma hit me with a pulled muscle in my shoulder and it hurts like a mother.
Second, I swear you are just too nice. If some lady, that I was paying, wouldn’t cut my hair or my child’s hair the way I wanted it, I’d have given her a piece of my mind and asked for someone else. So what if she has a small forhead, she’s 3 for heaven’s sake, she needs bangs. All little girls need bangs so they have photos to be tormented with when they grow up. sorry, flashback there. I’d still call and raise h3ll with the manager.
Be safe in your travels my friend. I hope that Jordan feels better soon too.
You’d love the German hairstylists. Without much deviation, they do pretty much EXACTLY as you ask them to. In the States, I’d ask for an inch off if I wanted three off, because I just knew that was how it would work out. Here, If I ask for a quarter of an inch, they ask me before cutting the section where my hair grows faster because it will take half an inch to make it all even. Now that I’ve been with my stylist for two years, he’s a bit stubborn about cutting more when I ask for it, but he always cuts it well. I don’t think I’d have stayed around once the stylist refused to do as asked.
Oh sweetie! I hope Jordan feels better soon!!!! Go give h*ll to that chick that screwed up ya’lls hair. If you want your daughter’s hair cut a certain way, they should cut it that way. Dangit. *HUGGLES* Ya’ll be careful!! We’re getting snow right now.
Just catching up, havent’ been around in a couple of days. Um, your LO of Pato is nice. I’ve told you before, I love the dark and handsome! LOL! But don’t worry, I’ve got one mysef. I still have to do your CT challenge before I’m too late!
