Oh my gosh you guys. I’m kind of ticked that the school isn’t having at least a late start with how cold it is. I think it’s way too cold to go out. I thought it was cold before. Check it out today:
-11 with a windchill of -25 right now. Does that seem just a tad too cold to wait at the bus stop? And if he waits until he sees the bus to go out, he has a chance of missing the bus because it doesn’t come right to our apartment door. It goes to the next apartment over.
The good news is, Pato found his other snow boot. LOL YAY! I’ve been looking for it for almost 2 weeks. Pato found it shoved in the bottom of his toy box. I had gotten him a pair of rain boots at Steve and Barry’s. And after 2 days they ripped apart at the seam on both boots. I wanted to take them back but couldn’t until I found his other boot. They completely ripped apart yesterday. I told Pato to get him a pair of snow boots yesterday and he couldn’t go look til after work. Walmart was the only place open and they had no snow boots in his size left. But, he got up this morning, searched, found it, yay, no cold feet for Jordan!
Last night we went to the grocery store. Braved the cold. It wasn’t quite this cold at 6. LOL I wanted to get these tostados and a rotisserie chicken for supper. It’s such an easy supper, and so yummy! You just take these hard tostados, put sour cream on them, pull some chicken off, and add shredded cheese. So good! While we were there the kids noticed that the grocery store had started selling Webkinz. Not cool! ROFL I got both of them a little kins,
Jordan got a golden retriever:
He named him Sammy.
and Katiana got a White Terrier:
and Katiana named hers whitey. LOL (Her pink poodle is named – you guessed it, pinky.)
I’m not going to register them until bedrooms have been cleaned!
Alyce wanted this other dog. She grabbed it off the shelf and wouldn’t give it back. But, I was not going to spend $10.00 on a stuffed animal that she can’t even use the right way. LOL I mean, it’s not like she is going to get on my computer and play away. LOL
So, we went back to the toy aisle and I grabbed her this for $6.00:
That’s Winks, the Ty Baby Elephant. She has officially been renamed to Elly the elephant in our house. The kids thought that would be easier for Alyce to say. She’s so cute. She hugs her elephant. She slept with it last night. Little arms wrapped around it. So soft.
Jordan’s present got here last night! Can you believe it? They shipped it Saturday by UPS and it was here by Wednesday night. That is some service there! I waited until he went to bed and then opened the box just to look at it. I didn’t put it together or turn it on or anything, that would be naughty of me. LOL It was so tempting. It’s so little. Pato said, you paid what for that? I said, Pato, laptops are going smaller and smaller, have you not see the MacBook Air? I mean, the commercial shows it inside a manila envelope. LOL And it starts at $1799. Be happy I found this one. I don’t have a Mac yet. But oh, I would love to get that Air. It’s GORGEOUS! I could learn to use a Mac with that.
I can’t justify it. Maybe someday when I hit the lotto. LOL
We’re obviously not going to Ohio today. LOL Pato wants to wait until next week. Fine with me! I don’t think it’s safe to be driving anywhere when it’s this cold out. So, yay! But, Amanda overnighted my Bamboo Fun Tablet to me that I ordered for the specific purpose of having a tablet to design on with my laptop while we are gone. Thank you Amanda! LOL How bout that? A scrap store that sells Wacoms? Seriously, Purple Paper Flowers is going to be your one stop shopping for scrapbook supplies! I can’t wait to get the tablet today. I may have to unplug the old graphire 4 on the desk top and plug in the Bamboo Fun, just to test it out. LOL I’ve heard such awesome things about it!
