Not Everyone's Mama

I am all excited to be spending New Year’s Eve with so many of you!  I’ve had so many people tell me that they have it marked to come, I hope everyone can!  It’ll be nice to spend part of New Year’s Eve chatting rather than sitting here staring at my TV.  Pato won’t get home til close to midnight my time.  (

I’m hoping Miss Alyce cooperates.  Last night was rough with her.  If these teeth would just come.  I put her to bed starting at 7 – 3 times last night and at 10:00 she was up for good.  Pato got home at 10:45 and he took her for a bit.  (I had a glass of Bailey’s and cream or 2.  ROFL)  At midnight she started getting fussy to go to bed, then she screamed for about 2 hours.  We passed her back and forth.  I gave her some motrin.  Nothing helped.  I broke out the teething tablets, which normally don’t do much for her, but it must have helped because about 15 minutes after she took them she fell asleep.  It actually took about 5 minutes to start working, she started winding down the crying, you know, her eyes are closed, and the crying is getting a little less fierce.  Then it would stop, then she would start again, a little quieter each time it happened.  She finally was out at 2.

So, that’s why I slept in until 9 again.  Another day of waking up and saying, I slept til 9??  Wow! 

Pato has tomorrow and Wednesday off.  I think I’m going to take a moment for myself with my mom on Wednesday.  It’s been a couple of weeks again since I’ve left the kids, period, and I’m feeling the wear of it on my nerves.  LOL  He’s going to put up Jordan’s loft bed tomorrow.  He’s got bunk beds right now, and just not enough room.  So, I posted on Craig’s list that I was looking for one.  Someone emailed me with a picture, said they would sell it for $50.  I said we were interested, Pato went to get it.  He was mad when he got home.  ROFL  I don’t understand why he bought it if he didn’t like it.  I mean, he had the final say.  He was just mad because he said, I could make that for less than $50 and have more to the safety rails than what is there.  The one we bought is like a college loft bed. 

So, he’s going to get some wood, and some paint.  And enclose Jordan’s a little more.  Then he’s going to get some wood and some paint, and build Katiana one that will be painted pink.  LOL  Her request.  Hers will be enclosed all the way around except for where the ladder is.  We’re both worried about her falling out.  So, we’re going to make her a loft crib.  ROFL  Don’t tell her that.  Jordan’s desk and toy box are going under his.  (He had no room for his desk before and it’s in the garage.)  That way he can do his homework at his desk uninterrupted by his sisters coming into the kitchen to help him.  Can’t guarantee they’ll stay out of his room, but at least he can shut the door there.  Pato said also there’s a soccer tournament tonight between restaurants.  Most of those guys don’t have wives.  I’m not going to be that happy if he spends the new year playing soccer with a bunch of boys.  ROFL

So, want to see what I’m doing for a thank you gift for coming to the chat tonight?  Ok, it’s either going to be a paper pack or a mini kit.  I haven’t decided.  I was working on stacked frames last night, but Bailey’s wasn’t conducive to drop shadow work.  ROFL  So, I shut it down until today.  I’ll have it done by the time the chat rolls around, I promise.

There’s the papers that I have done so far.  It was starting out to be called Girl’s need Grunge, who knows what it will be called by the time I am done.  I’ve got lots of computer time to get in today so I can get this done!  )

I have decided (thanks to Kerry’s sugestion LOL) that guest calls just go by way too fast! We just get to know each other and it is over!
