For those of you with boys, and what age did yours want to smell good? What a question, huh?
I have been buying Jordan deodorant and body spray for a couple of months now. When we went to the dollar store, he wanted some cologne. At the dollar store? So, we looked for what I thought was the least offensive smell. LOL We ended up getting the fake Cool Water. Which surprisingly, smells similar. The other ones made me gag when I smelled them!
So, this morning, he gets out of the shower and I said, don’t forget your deodorant! He said, and my cologne and body spray! Oh lord, Jordan, don’t touch it! Let me do it. I could just imagine how much he would stink with all of those layers of smell.
I did it, he smells good now. And to think he wears this stuff for himself. He still thinks girls are yucky! *knock on wood for the continuation of that for a few more years!* Isn’t that the best reason to do things that make you look or smell good? Because you like it! Not to please someone else. I love him! LOL
You know what’s funny is because Jordan got the bottle of cologne, then Kat wanted one. So, we headed to the aisle with women’s stuff. We picked out the dollar store version of Anais Anais. It was, again, the one least likely to make me gag.
Did you watch Ellen when Mariah Carey was on and she was showing Ellen how to put on perfume. She said to spray, and spin through it? Well, that is now how Katiana puts on her perfume. She is not allowed to touch it by herself. So, I spray it up in the air, and then she does this really fast twirl. It’s so funny.
She has to do everything Jordan does. She just had to put her perfume on.
Do you know what Alyce likes to do now? We have a toy chest in the living room for her toys because she doesn’t have her own room. Katiana opened it for her and Alyce climbed IN, threw out all of her toys and sat in it with a select few toys and played. I was cracking up, though not good to encourage messes. Who am I kidding, my kids make messes whether I encourage it or not. LOL
Then later, she went to the entertainment center. Pulled the bottom drawer out, pulled everything out of it and climbed in and sat.
I guess she just likes to get in things. She does it with baskets of clothes too. I’d rather have her in then climbing on top of. She did that the other day. Climbed on top of the toy box and stood up thinking she could turn off the light switch. I was pulling her off of it all day. I was scared she would fall backwards and hit her head.
Not even 1 and she’s getting to be just as naughty as the other 2 making messes. LOL
A couple of more days left to my cyber Monday sale. Today and tomorrow!
All of my products are 40% off, and if you buy my Grungy Christmas kit, you get the Blue Christmas one free!
Take advantage of it now! I don’t know when I will be having another sale like this. My birthday is coming up, but even if I do a sale, it won’t be that much off. And it probably won’t be on my commercial use products!

Have a wonderful day!

I’d say you’re ahead of the game with Jordan. Many boys his age don’t even like to bath themselves! My girls love to use my perfume and we have the same rule: Mom has to spray it. My poor son though, he also insists on wearing my perfume. DH has tried to get him to wear his cologne, but he refuses…he just wants to be one of the girls, lol!
I think that too cute of Jordan! He sounds like a really sweet boy! Colton is the same way Alyce is. He loves to be in things. His new obsession is tunnels! Cracks me up!
Yup, those boys, when they get a certain age has that smell. My son, when I would go in his room, it was just awful. And it wasn’t because he didn’t bath, it’s just that BOY SMELL!! But, they do grow out of it.
hmm – - I will have to try that with my “smelly” stuff – - just twirl in it huh?
Lots of funny stuff today! Quinn went through a body spray phase.. um I guess he was about 13? He still takes multiple showers a day, but actually I don’t really want to think about that, nope, not at all. Sounds like the poor guy is feeling better today. Good. That rash had to be miserable.
Have an awesome weekend!
OMGosh! That is too cute!! spinning through the perfume! I love it!
Thanks for the chat earlier
Have a Great Weekend!
Boys and body spray….I swear AXE makes all it’s money on 13 year old guys!
Both of my kids like to do that as well! Who knows what the attraction is to sitting in totes meant for other purposes.
Mike seems to like AXE, and I can tell you it definitely makes me gag! Best part is Brenden likes to drown himself in Daddy’s cologne if it isn’t placed high enough…
Have a great day!
You have to scrap pictures of her in the toy chest and entertainment center. Both my kids love to climb in things. They love to have some carry them around in a laudry basket too. My little boy (4yrs) loves to year he daddy’s deoderant and his pap’s after shave. It is cute except that my FIL’s after shave reeks.
My 8 year old son likes to “borrow” his Dads deodarant, but we haven’t gotten to the cologne stage yet. However, if anyone thinks that having a shoe shopping fetish is just for girs, is mistaken! My son LOVES shoes! When we go to the store, it is not “mom, can I have this toy?” It is “Mom, can we go look at the shoes!” LOL!
Just be glad Jordan wants to smell good – my mom said my lil bro went 4 DAYS wthout a shower- ewwww! Sounds like miss Alyce is in fine form! Nadya is sitting up by herself – at least mostly, so we’re progressing too. She likes to grab and throw things and of course, EVERYTHING must be tasted.
Have a great weekend!
