Boys are Funny!

Posted by Heather On November - 30 - 2007

For those of you with boys, and what age did yours want to smell good?  What a question, huh?

I have been buying Jordan deodorant and body spray for a couple of months now.  When we went to the dollar store, he wanted some cologne.  At the dollar store?  So, we looked for what I thought was the least offensive smell.  LOL  We ended up getting the fake Cool Water.  Which surprisingly, smells similar.  The other ones made me gag when I smelled them!

So, this morning, he gets out of the shower and I said, don’t forget your deodorant!  He said, and my cologne and body spray!  Oh lord, Jordan, don’t touch it!  Let me do it.  I could just imagine how much he would stink with all of those layers of smell.

I did it, he smells good now.  And to think he wears this stuff for himself.  He still thinks girls are yucky!  *knock on wood for the continuation of that for a few more years!*  Isn’t that the best reason to do things that make you look or smell good?  Because you like it!  Not to please someone else.  I love him!  LOL

You know what’s funny is because Jordan got the bottle of cologne, then Kat wanted one.  So, we headed to the aisle with women’s stuff.  We picked out the dollar store version of Anais Anais.  It was, again, the one least likely to make me gag.

Did you watch Ellen when Mariah Carey was on and she was showing Ellen how to put on perfume.  She said to spray, and spin through it?  Well, that is now how Katiana puts on her perfume.  She is not allowed to touch it by herself.  So, I spray it up in the air, and then she does this really fast twirl.  It’s so funny.

She has to do everything Jordan does.  She just had to put her perfume on.

Do you know what Alyce likes to do now?  We have a toy chest in the living room for her toys because she doesn’t have her own room.  Katiana opened it for her and Alyce climbed IN, threw out all of her toys and sat in it with a select few toys and played.  I was cracking up, though not good to encourage messes.  Who am I kidding, my kids make messes whether I encourage it or not.  LOL

Then later, she went to the entertainment center.  Pulled the bottom drawer out, pulled everything out of it and climbed in and sat.

I guess she just likes to get in things.  She does it with baskets of clothes too.  I’d rather have her in then climbing on top of.  She did that the other day.  Climbed on top of the toy box and stood up thinking she could turn off the light switch.  I was pulling her off of it all day.  I was scared she would fall backwards and hit her head.

Not even 1 and she’s getting to be just as naughty as the other 2 making messes.  LOL

A couple of more days left to my cyber Monday sale.  Today and tomorrow!

All of my products are 40% off, and if you buy my Grungy Christmas kit, you get the Blue Christmas one free!

Take advantage of it now!  I don’t know when I will be having another sale like this.  My birthday is coming up, but even if I do a sale, it won’t be that much off.  And it probably won’t be on my commercial use products!  :o )

Have a wonderful day!

Romance

Posted by Heather On November - 30 - 2007

If you are in a relationship, have you noticed as the years go by that the romance has faded?  Pato has never been big on the romance, but I miss it!  We need some more romantic ideas!

He has done a couple of things that stick out in my mind.  When I was pregnant with Katiana, he came home on Christmas Eve from work.  I was working on the computer, he walked straight to me, dropped to his knees, handed me a ring box, and asked me to marry him.  It may not sound all that romantic, but because I know that romance doesn’t come easy for him, it was very romantic to me.  I had expected him to just come out one day and say, “Let’s go get married.” and that would be it.  So to have him on his knees with the ring just touched my heart.

With 3 kids, it’s hard to find time for a lot of romance.  But, he’s even tried when the kids were up to set the scene.  He’s made dinner for us and then lit some romantic candles and waited on all of us so that I didn’t have to do anything.  And they kids don’t realize that he is trying to set the scene for something else!

It’s just so sweet when he does things like that.  They don’t happen very often, but I treasures the times that he has tried.

On the flip side, I am so glad that we worked through our problems since I last posted.  Dealing with a break up of a marriage is one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.  I don’t talk about my relationship with Jordan’s dad very often.  But, even though I know I made the right decision for my son and for myself, I agonized for a long time over I made the right choice for him.  I would have gone through hell and back for Jordan, and at times I think I did.  But, I had to decide if the situation I was in was one I wanted my son to be raised in.  If I wanted my son to grow up thinking the way his father treated me was the way he should be treating women when he got older.  My answer was no, but it was hard to put Jordan through the divorce, even at the young age of 18 months.

But back to more pleasant things, I am so glad I have Pato.  I couldn’t imagine my life without him.  He is my heart and my rock.  And the father of my children.  I love you, Pato!

I’m just all excited!

Posted by Heather On November - 30 - 2007

I have Grace Bennett setting up my site for me so that it will look all pretty for you! Well, if truth be told, for me too. LOL I have the front page and header graphic designed. I LOVE it!

I also ordered hosting today. If anyone is looking for cheap hosting that I heard is reliable, I went with Pro Link Hosting. $9.96/year for unlimited disc space and unlimited band width.

It’s going to be a completely different set up than what I had. More like the consignment stores out there that you are used to. So, no more confusion! LOL

Plus, I’ll still be at PDW. I love Betsy and the other women over there. I can’t see myself leaving! They are so wonderful! If you haven’t shopped at Plain Digital Wrapper yet, not just my stuff, everyone’s, you should check it out! A lot of talent in the PDW pool!

Grace is going to start working on my site on December 8th. So it is going to be down for a bit. But, once she’s done, I’ll start uploading, then everything will be switched over, including my blog and my tutorials. Everything will be in one easy to find location.

Aren’t you excited with me? See, when life hands you lemons, grab the tequila and take a shot!  (That’s for you Kim!)

Have a great night!
