Not Everyone's Mama

I do, I do!  I was talking to my mom last night after I heard about this weekend’s weather and it dawned on me why I hated having my birthday in December.  It ruins your parties.  Check out our forecast for this weekend:

Freezing rain?  Snow?  You know that makes?  A big ol’ mess I don’t want to drive in.   I heard on the news last night 6 – 10 inches.  I’m thinking her actual party isn’t going to happen.  It is probably going to just be us here celebrating.

Mom asked if we could do it next weekend (providing there is no snow) and I said that’s fine.  But I’ll make her a cake for that.  I know she is only going to be one, and she won’t notice a difference, but I want her to have her cake on her birthday.  The one I ordered.  Not a week later.  Where is the fun in that?  My mom thinks I am weird.  Oh well, it won’t be the first time that she thought that about me, and I’m sure it won’t be the last!  )

The kids will be excited to get the snow.  I’ll get to test out my camera’s snow scene setting if I can figure out where it’s at.   LOL  I want to teach Katiana how to make a snow angel!  Jordan loves making them.  What kid doesn’t?  I still love making them!

Update on my blog store, it is going to be down for a couple of weeks since I deleted it.  I decided to look at this in a whole new way.  I’m going to take it as a chance to get myself set up with hosting, so that my stuff isn’t scattered from here to there on the net.  I need to get working on a design for it!  Of course I’ll keep doodles the monkey and incorporate him into the design!  I love doodles!

It was so nice getting out with my mom today!

Pato had some extra cash so I took $30 and went to the casino.  I could be a big gambler if I let myself, but I sit on the nickel keno machines most of the time.  Stunk that up, so I went over to this penny game.  LOL  I was going from 60 cents to $1.00 at a time, and was up for quite awhile.  I think I sat there playing pennies on my $10.00 for 2 hours.  LOL  I was happy.  I’d get up $50, go down $20, then I went to another machine with my mama, and threw it away.

I figure, I only take as much as I can afford to lose, and I don’t consider the money I win, mine until I walk out the door.  Then, I can’t be mad at myself. 

So, I left, came home and listened to my kids fight. 

Oh no.  I think the news just said we were getting 6-10 inches of snow this weekend.  So much for Alyce’s birthday party.  It’s supposed to be at my parents’ house unless it snows.  Then it’s pushed back to when we celebrate my dad’s birthday on the 24th.

I tell you this, there will be no cake left by then.  ROFL

Just had to tell you guys, I feel a tad more relaxed.  Going to put my kids to bed, have some quality time with Pato and then maybe design.
