Well, Jordan made it through school yesterday! Woohoo! I called the nurse about half way through the day and she said that he had come down to have her put calamine lotion on his back and shoulder. He was embarrassed, but she said, let’s just go behind this curtain, you don’t have to take your shirt off, just lift it up, and we’ll just dab some on, now you’re done!
This morning he looks so much better! I noticed a few spots that are still rashed up but nothing compared to what the poor kid has had. So yay! Jordan is getting better!
The nurse told me that he was complaining of a sore throat and she might take him in for a recheck on his strep if she were me. NO! NO MORE! NO MORE SICKIES! LOL She looked in his throat though and said it didn’t look to bad.
Now tell me, if he is allergic to amoxicillan now which I found out augmentin contains it, and he is allergic to zithromax, exactly what would they put him on if he had strep throat again? I asked his dr’s nurse that the other day and she said, I don’t know Heather. I really don’t know. Dr K will probably have to sit down with you and discuss your options. Lovely. So, no Jordan, you are not allowed to get strep throat again right now. Just don’t do it. LOL
I am going out with my mom today. Don’t know what we are going to do, but I seriously need a break from my children. I think it’s been about 4 weeks since I’ve had some time all to myself without having to take a kid with me. It’s time, don’t you think?
I think that’s why I’m getting a tad bit stressed out is I have been living and breathing my kids for so long without a moment where I can stop and breathe for myself. Does that make sense? I can’t even go to the bathroom without someone, or two, or three following me in. LOL And it’s not like it’s been a normal few weeks with them. First me getting really sick with that kidney infection, then Jordan getting strep, then the rash, Alyce doing whatever it is she is doing, and I think Katiana is just feeling left out with the other 2 needing so much attention.
So, Pato, you are in charge, if only for a little bit.
And yes, deleting my store, that didn’t help with the stress level. I seriously had trouble breathing when I realized what I did. I’m still waiting for blogger to let me know if they can find it out in cyber space somewhere. Otherwise, I have to redo the whole thing. If I have to do that, I’m going to sign up for a web hosting package and look into have someone get my site set up the way I want it so that I am not all over the web with my domain name connecting them all together.
In the mean time, you can shop at my PDW store! YAY! Thank goodness Betsy took me on there, otherwise I would just be out of luck right now scrambling to get my store set back up.

It never fails, they always ask me what I’m changing it to.
I hear ya on not even being able to go potty without supervision. What do they think, that we haven’t been able to do it right for allll those years we did it before they came along? Hell, Justin even TELLS me he’s going to supervise. *eye roll*

Oh, you deserve a day out! Don’t come home until it gets dark! Better yet, don’t come home until you know that the kids are asleep! I have to tell you that I LOVE these frames!!! Enjoy your ‘me’ time and promise yourself that you will keep an appointment with yourself once a week if even for a short time without the chickens! Believe me, it’s good for everyone, you, the kids, it’s a win-win. LOL

I’m so sorry about your store! Hopefully Blogger will be able to fix things for you. My dd is allergic to amoxicillan too and they give her something else (not zithromax), but I can’t remember the name of it. So there is something else out there…of course it costs and arm and a leg. Hopefully, Jordan won’t need it though (fingers crossed). Enjoy your “time off” today – I hope you come home relaxed and recharged.

Getting out of the house without the kids sounds awesome… *sigh* Occasionally I get to run to the grocery store without them. I had to laugh because just the other day I was complaining to Vince about never being able to just read a magazine in the bathroom like regular people do, I have to grab things away from Jenny.. LOL But I’m a bad mommy talking about getting away from my kids on Jenny’s birthday. Rah rah Jenny! Rah rah parenting! YAY!

Another alternative to penicillins is sulfides. I had to switch to SulfaTriMeth when penicillins wouldn’t work because I’d had too many ear infections… Sulfides are medicines that have a high track record of allergies though so it is something most doctors won’t mention unless they have no choice.

I’m allergic to “cillins” … we are guessing any of them, cause I’m allergic to pennicillin, amoxi, augmentin and another one. The dr has given me Doxicyclin when needed and I keep an Rx in the house.

Hi, just thought I would let you know there is a sulpher drug they use to treat strep throat. My husband and I both have it right now, I’m on a penicillian and he’s on a sulpher.
