If you haven’t read yet, you can read the post last night where I had to pick Jordan up from school because he was itching so bad if you scroll down to the next post.
Last night I had him take a bath in baking soda and then smeared him in calamine lotion and that seemed to give him a little relief. This morning, he’s upset because he doesn’t want the nurse to put the lotion on him. I told him he doesn’t have to do anything but take off his shirt. His legs and toosh are getting better and I didn’t even put it on them today. It’s his stomach and arms that are bad. But, he doesn’t even want her to do it at all.
I’m sorry son, but you have to try to go to school. I know it’s hard to do something we don’t want to do, but you’re gonna have to suck it up (I didn’t say that to him. LOL), be big guy, and do something you don’t want to do. He’s got the calamine lotion in his bag, and I signed a medicine permission slip for the nurse yesterday. Here’s hoping I don’t get a call in an hour to come get him. They may any way. I’m thinking if he’s down there every 5 minutes to be covered in calamine they might say come get him. It seems to be receding from some areas, like I said, his legs and his butt, and it’s crept back from his wrist a couple of inches. Where it is at looks absolutely horrible, but I think it’s slowing getting better.
So, that brings us to now. Katiana wants to lay on the ottoman to the couch. Jordan always sits there to put his shoes on. Do you think they could share it? I mean, might it be possible???? Um, what was I thinking? I’ve been breaking up a fight for the last 20 minutes. It just keeps starting. I told Katiana if I hear her mouth one more time, I’m picking her up and putting her back in her bed and she can stay there all morning.
It really is her this morning. Jordan is just getting tired of her being snotty to him and is starting to raise his voice. And I’m going to be TICKED OFF if the baby wakes up AGAIN. She didn’t go to sleep until after 2 last night. Telling you, this —– UGH —- Jordan just poked Katiana in the eye. —- This last couple of weeks has been really hard.
And I’m not feeling any teeth in Miss Alyce’s mouth yet. I’m thinking 12 month growth spurt. Or maybe we’re just feeding off of our brother and sister’s stinky attitudes??? Who knows.
So, I need a smile this morning! Do you need one too? It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve seen Miss Alyce’s messy face. Ok, this didn’t make me smile at the time. Katiana had pudding the other day. She left it on the table. I’m really trying to get her to put her stuff in the garbage or in the sink when she is done. She left it too close to the edge of the table. I went to the bathroom and came out to this – well, I came out to the baby like this, she’s crying cuz I took it away.
Then the bath:
Jordan cleaned up the carpet for me while I gave her a bath. I was proud of him, not one spot of chocolate left on the floor when he got done. Made my job a little easier. This is why we have an area rug down. And a cheap one at that. LOL
Someone said awhile back that they didn’t know how I stopped to take a picture when she got messy like this. LOL I think I think of everything as a scrap op. LOL Good and bad. I have my camera right there all the time for the fun moments and the moments like this. And I am one of those people that want to document everything that happens in my kids life. (IE: My blog LOL) Now, ask me why all of these haven’t been turned into layouts yet? Um, need to do that. LOL
I’m working on a new kit, and then got side tracked. I made these little holiday silk flowers, all glittered up. Ok, they aren’t little. I have sized them down for the preview. They could be a main focal point on a page besides the picture. Or size them down to be a small accent.
You can get them at PDW this week for $1.79 on sale!
Speaking of them being on sale, check out my sale this week at PDW!
All of my products are 40% off, and if you buy my Grungy Christmas kit, you get the Blue Christmas one free! And this is going on all week! (only at Plain Digital Wrapper)
The sale this week will give me time to fix my store. I’m having problems with the FTP getting my stuff in the store. So, perfect time to have a sale at PDW!
I’ll leave you with a picture of the cake I ordered for Alyce’s birthday! Man, I still can’t believe she is going to be 1! on SUNDAY! My baby is getting big!
Isn’t it pretty? I didn’t know what to get her because she isn’t really into anything yet. Katiana has loved Strawberry Shortcake for as long as I can remember. She is easy. LOL Then I saw this cake and fell in love!
Have a great day!!!!

So, he went to school today. He was only there about an hour when the nurse called. I was on the phone with his doctor’s nurse at that point and didn’t want to miss what she was saying, so I didn’t check to see who was calling.
Checked my messages, called the nurse. She was telling me she had already called Pato, who at that point was beeping in to give me the message.
She told me that Jordan had come down to her office. His arms and back were flaming red and he was itching very badly. That it would probably be better if he went home. That there was no way he could concentrate and think with how he was right then.
On the way out the door I called his nurse back and said, can I use something topical? I thought caladryl would be out of the question because it has some of the same ingredients in it as the medicine he is taking now. But, yes I can use calamine lotion on him.
So, at the school, I signed a medicine permission sheet. Then I called Pato and told him we needed baking soda, calamine lotion, and whatever else he could think of. So, he came home on break all loaded up with anti itch stuff. LOL
Jordan took a bath in baking soda, he said that helped. Then when he started to itch, I COVERED him in calamine lotion, he doesn’t agree with being pink, but “Mom, that feels SOOOOO good.” Finally a little relief. He might be in the nurse’s office every 5 minutes tomorrow, but a little relief. LOL
His doctor wants to see him on Thursday if he isn’t getting better by then. *knock on wood* Here’s hoping he’s better.
Funny though, when I called the doctor, they told me Jordan already had an appointment. I said, what? Oh, wait, it says one year check here. He’s not one. Um, no, he’s 9. But I made Alyce’s one year check when I brought Jordan in on Sunday. LOL They scheduled it for Jordan. Poor kid would have been really mad to have to get all of her vaccines. ROFL
Til tomorrow!
