Oh No!

Posted by Heather On October - 30 - 2007

Look what happens when Pato gets a hold of Kat’s halloween wig.

I should have warned you not to take a drink when you look.  LOL  Don’t want you spitting your morning coffee all over your monitor.  Notice Alyce’s shirt?  Like that?  She has learned to take her shirt half way off.  Now, she’ll just pull an arm out, then try to get the other one out, she can never get it out, so then, she just crawls around the house like that.  One arm in, one arm out.  LOL

Remember the strawberry twinkie and chocolate pudding disaster?  Well, SOMEONE (Katiana, again) left their plate on the edge of the table again, and now we have a refried beans issue.  LOL

Now, I’m just awaiting the diaper that should follow this.  ROFL

Do other states have beggar’s night?  Someone said to me last year that that was a real nice thing to call what we call trick or treating night here in Iowa.  Beggar’s night is always the night before Halloween.  I don’t think I’ve ever been trick or treating on the actual night of Halloween.  So, that’s what we are doing tonight.  Kat keeps asking, mom, can we go?  Can we go now?  No, honey, not til Jordan gets out of school.  LOL

Ok, I tried to find a history of beggar’s night, and I think it’s an Iowa/Ohio thing, which is funny, cuz I lived in Ohio too.  LOL  I think that’s why I thought it was a country thing.  But, I can’t find the history behind beggar’s night.  Someone supposed it was because it was safer for young kids to go trick or treating the night before versus the night all the adults and teenagers are out partying.

So, there are more issues with the bus.  Did I mention, I’ve left 2 messages and no call back?  I took Jordan to school all last week.  Then yesterday, I said, it’s been a week, you can try the bus again.  First thing she said?  Jordan, you’re sitting in the front of the bus.  Like he was in trouble.  He asked why?   Because she said so.  GRRRR!  And it’s not just Jordan who has a problem with her.  My next door neighbor called me at 6:30 this morning to find out if I could take her daughter up to the high school.  (They start at different times.)  Erica refuses to ride the bus because of the bus driver too.  She told me that not only is she mean, she calls one of the boys on the bus names (This child borders on special ed, and yes he is annoying, but I don’t think it’s his fault.) Anyways, she calls him stupid and names that revolve around being mentally handicapped.  I don’t like to use the R word, my ex-husband’s son, and my son’s brother is mentally handicapped, he has never grown past 9 years old, and I’m really touchy about that.

Ok, I finally got through, the number has been busy all morning.  The lady who manages the bus barn was very sympathetic.  Very sorry she hasn’t returned my call, it’s been really busy, ya di da.  But, she is going to talk to the bus driver.  No, Jordan shouldn’t be treated like that, and if it’s any consolation, they are hiring new bus drivers, and the driver Jordan has now, is taking a different route, they are going to have a new driver.  YAY!  She is going to discuss with his driver now nonchalantly about the way she yells at the kids.  I told her I don’t want her to use Jordan’s name directly because if I have to have him ride the bus, I don’t want her taking it out on him if she’s mad I called.  So, there is that.

Did I tell you I’m the featured designer at Scrap Praise?  I think I did.  LOL  I’m just all excited!  AND, I’m giving away your choice of one of my personal use products to two people over there.  So, check it out, you could be the one to win!

And in celebration of being the designer of the week over there, I’m having a special!  Buy my black light papers and get my dirty stars paper pack for free!  See yesterday’s post for previews and details.

I think that is it from me today!  Have a wonderful day!

Aww, those pictures are so cute. Gotta love it when the kids get into food they shouldn’t be eating!

I hope all those bus issues get worked out! There’s never a reason to make fun of a child – no matter how annoying!

I can’t believe how much composure you have to actually take pics of the beans and messy kid :o ) …..we have that kind of crazy food happenings here all the time…I just end up chasing down the responsible kid to get to his room…and putting the baby in a bath…Congrats on Scrap praise!!

So am I the only one picturing the bus driver from South Park? With the bird’s nest in her hair? There is absolutely no reason on earth for somebody who works with children to be calling them the R word, she needs to be disciplined for that, seriously. That just stinks. Did you get my email with the LO in it? I want to make some more with the Black light papers together with the pink Thang stuff, Won’t that look cool? Yes, Andrea it will!

Mornin’! [hugs] Buses can be horrible… My dad was telling me how my sister’s kids have a driver who will just pull over to the side of the road until the kids are quiet enough to please her – no matter how long that takes. He found out ’cause he had stopped by to say hi to them after school one day last week, and they still weren’t hom almost an hour later than their appointed time…

As for the beans – Kids can make the biggest messes in seconds! LOL

  6. Ladybug says:

Congratulations on your design gig…..your designs are awesome! I can’t believe that the bus problem still isn’t handled yet…oh wait, yes I can!!! People just don’t realize the importance of certain situations do they? Oh well, I guess I could complain, but I will leave you with a smile Heather, and hope you get that handled. Love those photos!!!

  7. Side by Side says:

Gotta love the pic of her squishing them in her fingers!
I probably would not have taken pics either. lol
Have fun tonight and enjoy some candy :)
