Look at what she gave me?

Isn’t that sweet?  Well, I love her blog too!  So, now we’re going to pass on the love!

I love lots of blogs, in fact, I’m a blog reading addict.  :o )  So, let’s go through the blogs I read every day and pick a few!

Kim – This woman is one of the sweetest, funniest, will make make you ROFL while you’re reading her blog.  She’s also one of the most beautiful people I know.

Blythe – She’s one of my best friends in the world, I’ve known her going on 5 years and she is cracking me up right now on her blog.  LOL

Bunny - Another one of my closest friends in the galaxy – Bunny’s blog always cracks me up.

Victoria – I love reading about everything her family is doing.  They just seem like such a wonderful family!

Kirsty – I love love love love this woman’s pictures.  And her stories are so cute!

Diane – She is one of my CT members who just started her blog, but she’s got it full of info already!  She rocks!

Shannon – I love Shannon, she’s such a sweetheart.  She’s got the cutest little baby that she shows off in layouts and she’s one of DSO’s biggest fans!  We love you too Shannon!

Can I just put my whole blog roll up here?  LOL  I don’t want anyone to think I’m leaving them out.  So, see all those blogs in my sidebar?  I love all those too!  That’s why they are there!  LOL

Also, if you haven’t picked up Dirt Don’t Hurt yet, we’re on the downside of the sale.  Grab it while it’s still 20% off!

Jordan’s got a soccer game today and then we’re going over to my grandma’s for some chili that my mom tempted me with last night.  So wrong.  I went out and walked in the door and the smells, oh the smell of her chili.  So good!  She hurt herself the other day, (She already is on workman’s comp for an injury to her back from January I think it was – a new bulging disc was added to the 2 she already had.  She fell the other day, and felt like she ripped the muscle that attaches to her ribs, she was in the ER Thursday night, and they said she has contusions (fancy word for bruises) on her inside.  My poor mommy.)  I had to help her with the chili, cuz she couldn’t lift the crock pot to drain the hamburger.  And when I opened it, I was like why, oh why are we having maidrites for supper, I want this!  LOL  She said, it’s for tomorrow!  (12 hours to cook in the crock pot.)  I was like, I’m coming out for supper tomorrow night.  She failed to mention until later that they were taking it to my grandma’s until later on last night.  All righty, looks like a good day to go visit grandma!  LOL  Bad me!  I shouldn’t need an excuse.   I do love her dearly.  I just need a nudge to get out of my personal bubble and get out there.

Want to know my mama’s secret recipe for chili?  Shhhhh!

She chops up an onion, red onion, green pepper, and garlic.  She also adds some crushed red pepper.  Then she puts  that and 2 pounds of hamburger in her ginormous crock pot.  That cooks all day til the hamburger is done.  (She breaks up the hamburger, not just one big lump of it in the crock pot)  Then she adds a big ol’ can of chili beans, a HUGE can of refried beans, and  enough V8 to fill the crock pot up.  Stirs it up, and lets it cook for 12 hours at least.  (She makes it the day before and let’s it cook all night and all day until supper the next day.)  Then we dish it out, put on some sour cream, shredded cheese, and voila!  My mama’s chili.  I’m salivating now.  LOL

Ok, need to get some work done before I have to get the kids ready for soccer!  I’ll talk to you all later!  Have a great Saturday!

Oh oh oh, look at the costumes I ordered for the kids last night.  Katiana already has hers.  She’s got such a pretty little witch costume that was handed down to her last year.  It’s fur trimmed on the bottom of the skirt and the arms, and a pretty lacy hat.  Though she’s not happy now that I’ve ordered the other 2 kids costumes.

Jordan has been begging to be YuGiOh and I never ordered it because by the time I thought about it, they were all outrageously priced.  I got this one on Amazon for $14.99.

And is this not the cutest?  Alyce is gonna be a li’l ladybug.  I’m going to get her a black turtleneck and black leggings to go under it, because, well, we live in Iowa and it’s always cold here on Halloween.  So, that’s what they are going to be.

Now, have a wonderful Saturday!

Aren’t you just the sweetest to mention me. Love ya girl! The kids are gonna look adorable for Halloween. Can’t wait to see the pix. Tell Jordan good luck with his game for me and enjoy your weekend. Oh yeah, thanks for your momma’s chili secret, I’m making a big batch for a party tonight and am stealing her recipe.

OMG Heather, those costumes are awesome! I can remember those days…except when mine were younger, we had to improvise with what we had at home….Jordan will do great in the game…and you have a very happy Saturday too!!!! Talk at ya later!

Thanks Heather – I love your blog as well – I visit daily! :) Alyce’s custome is the cutest! Nadya is going to be baby Eeyore – why, because he’s my favorite cartoon character and he was my first stuffed animal! Disney put it on sale, so I snatched it! I’ve already tried it on her and she looks so adorable, but I’m not posting any pictures ’til Halloween! :)
Sending Jordan hugs and a big thumbs up for the game today! The chili sounds fabulous! I’ve got a recipe for Turkey Chili that’s almost as good as yours – almost! :)

The costumes are so cool! I am always partial to ladybugs!
