Look at the Dirt!

Posted by Heather On September - 25 - 2007

My new kit is in the store!  Yippie!  LOL  But, I’ll tell ya where it is in  a sec.

First, let’s talk about Jordan.

This is my little man.  (And that’s a self portrait of him.  LOL)  Those of you who have been reading this blog for awhile know that I had a problem last year with a certain group of kids picking on him.  Well, the school got the parents involved, 1 kid moved away, it was taken care of.  I felt ok letting Jordan go outside again.

Til yesterday.  I think I’ve been wrong telling Jordan to get away and not fight back.  I really do.  Ok, my exact words are, “Always look for an out.  If someone is hitting you, and you can get away, you get to an adult and tell them what is going on.  If you don’t have an out, you stand your ground and defend yourself.  And the fight ends when you have stopped them from hurting you.”

Well, I’m just fed up and tired of it.  Jordan came crying in the house last night.  He was outside playing with a little boy that he always plays with, they’ve been playing together since we moved in here 3 years ago.  There was also a new little boy that moved in a month ago or so.  They’ve just started getting to know him and playing with him recently.

Turns out, Jordan had said to Thomas, “Don’t be a nerd,” over something he was doing.  (Thomas is the little boy we’ve known forever, and truth be told, he kind of is one, but heck, so am I, doesn’t make it bad LOL)  But Jordan wasn’t saying, hey, you, you’re a geek, you’re a nerd!  You’re a LOSER!  No, he was joking around with Thomas.  Didn’t seem to bother Thomas at all.  But, it really must have bothered the new boy.

He yelled, “Don’t call my friend a nerd!” and attacked Jordan.  Jordan had a mark on his forehead and his cheek almost all night from where he punched him.  Not quite sure what he did to Jordan for this:

That’s on his neck.  And the lighting is bad because it looks more like it’s bruised in the pic, but it’s actually raw, and it was bleeding when he came in.  I didn’t think to take a picture til Darlene reminded me at the DSO chat.

He kicked him in that area that really hurts boys too.  And something about Jordan’s baseball bat, but I’m not sure if Jordan was exaggerating on that one, I don’t see any baseball bat marks on him, unless that is where he got him on the cheek or the head.  I know one of them was from a punch.

I was so mad.  I marched over to the next building.  That little boy saw me coming and high tailed it into his apartment and locked the sliding glass door.  I said to his sister, Is Daniel out here?  She said, No, he’s inside.  I said, I want to talk to him, now.  We go to their porch.  He’s sitting with his nose to the glass.  Won’t open up.  I said, I want you out here now.  He shook his head no, and ran off to the back.  His older brother opened the door.  I stuck my head in and saw grandpa sitting there.  I said, Daniel just started beating on Jordan, and he’s got some nice marks from it.  He said, “I’ll tell his mother when she gets back.”  Not, Daniel, get out here and explain this to me.  I was irritated.  I saw his mom pull in, but not get out of her car.  I was outside with the girls, and I called Jordan out, because I wanted her to hear it from him.   I said, you go over there and show his mom what her son did to you.  So he did.  He said that she said she’d talk to him about it.  Never heard nothing else.  Woohoo, aren’t you lovely.  If that would have been my son, I would have called his butt over and showed him his friend, what he had done to him, and he would have been apologizing his toosh off, and he’d be grounded for quite some time.

I’m not putting up with this, this is their freebie.  I’m tired of people hurting Jordan, and I’m calling the office next time.  And if the office doesn’t get the mother to do something, I’m bringing in the police like I had to when 2 of the other kids here were jumping Jordan and the parents wouldn’t do anything.

I may have a talk with little mr thing when I take Jordan out to the bus this morning.  I’m still so irritated.

Ok, on to more pleasant things.  Oh, those frames above that I used?  From my dear friend Kim B.  Aren’t they sweet?  You can get them here.
