Lookie What I Got!

Posted by Heather On September - 24 - 2007

Isn’t that fun?  If you want one, Darcy is at www.thedigichick.com.  She did an awesome job and was FAST!  I sent it awhile ago, but it took awhile to get to her because my scanner is all funky and I had to snail mail it.  Yes, snail mail – remember that service?  LOL  Literally, took a week to get from Iowa to her, and she’s in the US too.  She said it looked like it stopped at a party on the way down.  But, it only took her one day to get my font to me once she received it.   Quick quick quick!  Thanks Darcy!

Look at what I have coming out.  I’m just loving this kit so much, I couldn’t wait to share it.  LOL  It’s going through quality check right now, and then I’ll get you the links.  It was such a fun kit to make!

Not much else is going on here.  We had a good weekend.  Jordan had a good game on Saturday.  They were evenly matched and it was hard for either team to score on the other.  I was up bouncing around cheering, it was a great time!

Alyce has started copying our sounds.  Not our words, but our sounds.  I told you how she climbed on Jordan’s face the other day to get on the couch and said, hi yi!  LOL   Well, the other day, Katiana was on the phone with Pato and she said, “Hi Daddy.”  Alyce said, “hi yayi” but in the same tones that Kat used.  Copied her perfectly.

And I said thank you to one of the kids the other day, you know how you say it, the thank is higher in pitch than the you when you are talking to little kids, kind of sing songy?  Well, Alyce said, “da du” in that exact same sing songy tone.  I just keep turning around looking at her.  What are you doing?  LOL

I’m waiting for her to really get talking.  She crawl over to me and say, mom-my, mom-my, mom-my when she is climbing on me.  And she do that to Pato saying dada.

Jordan started talking at 9 months – her age.  Real words, it was crazy.  His pedicatrician said at 18 months that he had the vocab of a 3 or 4 year old.  Literally, I could have conversations with him at 18 months.  It was nuts.

Katiana started saying a couple of words at about 10 months, but she got really sick with ear infections and pneumonia for about 2 months, and she stopped talking til she was 2.  After Jordan, I was worried about her, but now at 3, she talks just as much as the rest of us.  She and Alyce are also learning 2 languages at once.  I usually only use English with the kids and Pato usually only uses Spanish.  It can’t be easy picking out what word to use.  :o

That’s it on my end.  If you like the dirty look, make sure you check out my dirty stars paper pack!  It’s TONS o’ fun!

How awesome, having your own font. I love fonts, am going to have to check that out.
That’s wild about Jordan talking so early! Atha is 2 1/2 and we are able to have real conversations with her now, which blows me away, I can’t imagine doing that with Jenny at 10 months! Jenny is making lots of sounds, and it often sounds like she is saying “Daddy,” which makes everybody thing that Atha is talking to him. Fun.
