Not Everyone's Mama

Well, I just about had a heart attack when he stepped on the scale.  98 pounds.  He gained 5 more pounds in 5 weeks.  I don’t understand.  His doctor kept trying to tell me to increase his activity level.  Just so happens his recess teacher had been sitting in the waiting room.  I asked him, is Jordan active at recess?  And he said, what?  And I said, is he active?  Or does he just sit there?  And he said, he’s one of the most active kids out there.  He’s constantly running.

Point proven.  So, on top of PE, he’s running his toosh off at recess, he has soccer where he is running constantly, he plays outside after school when he doesn’t have soccer and is running all over the place, AND he does laps around our apartment building at night.  How much more active does he want him to be???? 

Then we discussed food.  And he said, well I could schedule you to see a dietician for him.   That’s fine and dandy, I’ll take that, but I know that’s not the problem.  With all of the changes I’ve made in his diet the last 2 weeks, he still shouldn’t be gaining weight like this. 

I argued with him, and finally he agreed to draw blood to check his thyroid at least.  He thinks that it’ll come back normal, which would be GREAT!  I don’t want something to be wrong with my son, but I want to double check and make sure we’re not missing something important. 

So, they drew Jordan’s blood.  Seriously people, you would have thought he was in labor.  LOL  He’s not ever had that done.  So, he’s breathing heavy, and squeezing my hand, and ouch, that hurts, ouch, that hurts!  When it was over, “oh that wasn’t so bad.”  LOL  Drama King I tell you. 

Now I wait to hear the results.

Sarah Grimwood RAK’d me the other day with a GC.  And I picked out these beautiful things!  Then I had problems with getting them, and she fixed it all up, I’ve always admired her as a designer and found out (before she fixed it even) that she is such a sweet person!

Another person I’ve grown to admire as a designer and as a person is Jen Ulasiewicz.  Her designs are so pretty.  Full of nature, just gorgeous!  And I’ve been eying this for awhile.  Actually, I’ve been eying a lot of stuff for awhile – but this is what I snagged today.
