Update on Carter

Posted by Heather On August - 28 - 2007

Thank you for all of your prayers!  Carter was sent home last night.  They gave them some instructions and told them to just watch him carefully.  (And to be careful washing his hair, which made me giggle, cuz he doesn’t have much.  LOL  I think he could go a couple of days without it. LOL)

Shelley noticed after all the excitement calmed down that she can’t use her right arm very well.  She must have used that to try to brace their fall.  Hopefully it’s ok!

And I haven’t update you on my neighbor in awhile.  They moved her to a regular room last week.  (She was in the ICU for almost a month.)  She’s doing ok.  They have to restrain her every once in awhile because she doesn’t remember all of the time where she is, and she tries to get up and move around, and she can’t.  She’s walking a little with help now and eating.  It’s a long hard road for her, but she’s taking baby steps.  Her mom is wanting to get her moved to a hospital up here in Des Moines when she is able to, but for now, Iowa City is the best place for her to be.  The University of Iowa hospital has some of the best doctors in the country.

Now for a cute little story.  Yesterday, I was on the porch with the girls.  Katiana was on her rocking horse and Alyce was in her walker.  Alyce was trying to get places, you know – people to see, places to go – and she was bumping into Kat’s rocking horse.  Kat was a tad bit cranky.  She kept pushing Alyce away from her.  And Alyce just kept going back and banging into the horse.  She couldn’t win.  She kept trying to turn and couldn’t get any farther because Kat was in the middle of the porch.  Then Kat says, “grrrrrr!  I don’t want this baby anymore!  Take her back!”  I looked at her, and said, “You don’t want the baby anymore?”  – Bump bump bump as Alyce continues to bump into her.  “NO!”  Well, I’ll see what I can do about it.  I picked up my phone, and started to dial, and Kat yells, “No! No!  No!  I want our baby, I want our baby!”  LOL  That’s what I thought!  ROFL

I’ve got a new commercial use product in the store!  I’m really happy with the way these came out and I’ve gotten lots of love from our designers about them.

Click on the image to see it full size.

These are 4 different delicate roses to recolor for your scrapbooking needs.  The Commercial Use TOU is available in the store decription.

Check out Blooms!

I forgot to blog about Hummie’s Tail Gate Party for National Digital Scrapbooking Day!  Yep, we’ve got our own holiday now.  Hummie has gotten donations from all of us designers for you!  And last check there were almost as many prizes as there were people signed up.  You should go check it out!  Digital Scrapbooking Day falls on November 3, so look for TONS of sales coming up then!

Have a great day!
