They Grow Up To Fast & the joy of RAKing

Posted by Heather On July - 24 - 2007

My baby is growing up way too fast.  Saturday she started crawling.  Last night she started pulling herself up on the couch to standing.  She was determined to get whatever it was I was eating.  :o )  I was so sure that I was going to keep her immobile so that she wouldn’t get into anything like the other kids do.  LOL  And here she is chasing after them!  Literally.  She just army crawls or crawls around the house chasing after them to see what she can do to get into their stuff.  Naughty baby!  ROFL

Ya know what Pato asked me?  Ready for another one?  ARE YOU NUTS?  He’s been saying this since Alyce was born, but he dropped it for awhile.  LOL  I’m not closed to the possibility of having 4, but right now, no.  Alyce would be 16 months if I was pregnant today when the baby would be born.  Do you know how difficult it was having a 2 year old and a new born?  I have got to give kudos to the mom’s who have done it with shorter age spans in between.  Crazy man is gone 16 hours a day, he doesn’t know what it’s like.  LOL

I have discovered the joy of RAKing people.  For those of you who don’t know what a RAK is – and I didn’t for awhile – it’s a random act of kindness.  Oh, how fun is this?  I’ve been trolling for people who use my product in their layouts, or people who are using my blinkies in their siggies or on their blog.  And poof, you have a pressie in your private messages.  So much fun!  If you want to snag a blinkie, they are in the side bar on the right!

Have you been in my store?  I know a lot of people stick with the designers who are established, people they know, but a lot of the new designers have some wonderful offerings.  I’d like to think that I do too.  I love checking out new designers and supporting them if I like their products and buying from my favorite designers that I’ve known a long time.  We’ve got some wonderful new designers over at DSO!  You really should check them out!

And if you haven’t been into my store, check out all of the beautiful products you are missing out on!  I have kits, element packs, papers, alphas, templates, and commercial use products (including PSP Scripts).

This is just a small sampling of all of the goodies that you will find hiding behind the monkey!

And look at my commercial use products!

  1. I’m one of those crazy moms – My DD’s are 17 months apart! It gets crazy alot, my DH works a ton, so never home. I can’t say I’d ever recommend anyone have their kiddies this close together! It’s getting better now that they are a bit older, but you miss alot when they are younger, cause you are busy & sleep deprived! We had planned to space em out further, but DH had some serious health issues that forced us to have another right away. I would not change it for the world, I love them both so much, but if you can pick – I’d space em out!

Oh my!! We have 2 boys that are 2 years and 2 months apart and it’s great! But I’m not sure how that would be if there were more kids in the house. They’re to the stage now that they play together. ANd J was an independant one, so having H around when he was 2 years old wasn’t too much of an issue for him. I think it’s more about the kids than the parents, KWIM? Whatever you decide, best of luck!!

Yes they do grow up all too fast don’t they!! Mine are 2 years and 13 days apart! It was hard in the beginning but they are so close and the best of friends! I’ll have to stop by and checkout your stuff!!! The previews look great!

they really do grow up fast, I love scrapbooking so I can relish in the moments of past times while scrapping older photos. have a great day!

  5. Everyday I think about how tiny my ds was..now he is 19 months old – and so independent! Makes me appreciate scrapbooking anymore :)
