I did it, I cut off all of my hair. I really liked it at first, then I got nervous about what Pato would think and started hating it.
My mom was with me when I did it, and she loved it, but she’s my mom, she’s supposed to! LOL All the DSO designers have been so sweet with their compliments! You guys made me feel so much better. And Blythe Evans, she is such a friend! I sent her a pic on my cell phone right after I did it, and she loved it. So, then why do I feel so uncomfortable? Who knows?
Even Pato liked it when he got home. I was so worried he’d hate it.
Here’s a before, now my really is curly. I straightened it the day I took this pic.
Self Portrait #1:
And after, Cell Phone Self Portrait:
Look at those curls! My goodness they came back with a vengence. After she finished cutting it, she just put some gel on it and I left. As it dried more and more, I was more and more amazed. My hair hasn’t been this curly since I was 4. LOL But, she cut off a lot of the bulk, thinned it out so that it wouldn’t poof on me. I didn’t want a mushroom head like I had last time I cut it short.
I think I just need to play with it a little and get it the way I like it. I tried to straighten it last night, but I need new clippies to hold it in place. Mine aren’t strong enough to hold short little hairs that want to jump out of place. I also wouldn’t mind a new straightener. LOL
I got Kat’s hair cut too, just a little, I mean, there are like 6 little curls in the baggie I brought home that said, first hair cut. I just wanted them to even it out, cut off the baby wispys, so that those 6 curls weren’t just hanging 2 inches below the rest of her curls. LOL And they gave her some little side swept bangs. She looks so grown up.
She panicked though. 3 years old and it was her first hair cut, if you don’t count the time that I tried to cut a few whispys off her bangs when she was young and I cut it too short. Or the time Jordan cut out a chunk. LOL I consider this her first official hair cut. She was so scared. I got pics of before and after, but I’m going to do a layout of them before I post it here. I hope they are good, I haven’t looked at them yet. She was squirming away from the camera, putting her head down, giving me dirty looks. LOL (My LCD is broken on my camera, so I can’t see them until I upload them) And the whole time the lady was cutting her hair, she was like mama, mama, mama, mama. (Like save me, save me, save me, save me) I held her hand and talked her through it and when she was done, she was good to go braggin’ about her hair cut.
Oh, when she did mine, I did donate over a foot to locks of love. (To see some beautiful smiles, check out the recipient page, the donor page is kind of neat too. She didn’t take my picture yesterday, but that is what I did.) This is the second time I’ve done that. The first time was when I cut my hair shorter (not this short) after I had Katiana. That time I did it in honor of my aunt who had just been diagnosed with breast cancer. This time I just did it because it’s such a good cause. Though now I’m miserable and want to crawl into a corner and cry until I get used to it, at least my hair is going to help someone else out who could use it more than I can.
Now, off of my whining and on to the bargain bin and my freebie for the blog war!
Have you checked out DSO’s Bargain Bin? If you haven’t, you are missing out! There is so much stuff in there! Nothing is over 99 cents! There are 58 products in there right now, and they change every Friday! You could find elements, alphas, kits, templates, a little bit of everything. And sometimes, sometimes we sneak in a full size kit! You really should check it out. It’s called the Bargain Bin for some reason. LOL
And the freebie …
I really liked how yesterday’s template turned out. (And if you downloaded it before I fixed it, scroll down to yesterday’s post to redownload it. It was saved as a flat image yesterday on accident. It’s now fixed and in a PSD format, plus I added a link to my dear friend, Blythe Evan’s new freebie – It’s gorgeous, dahlings!) So, I made one that might help you make a similar 2 page layout with today’s and yesterday’s. Kind of grungy, kind of ripped. Hope you enjoy it! (And I have triple checked, this one is in PSD format)
Remember if you download, leave some love – I could use it today. LOL And please don’t send your friend’s to the direct download link. Send them to my blog to check out the goodies on their own. (And don’t forget the other DSO designers on the right – see if they have new goodies for you!)

The script that I used for the notebook paper was made by Micheline Martin – Sure, I could do it myself, but Micheline’s scripts save me soooooo much time! She’s got a script for so many things for us PSP users, you should check them out! You rock Micheline! Thanks!

Thanks for the template and I love your new ‘do. I wish my hair was curly.
I think the hair cut looks great…. The shortness and the curls makes you look like a little girl… It really fits your face…. I would kill for one quarter of your curls….
I think your hair is really cute – can’t believe your curls! People pay a lot for that, you know! Mine is just a mass of frizz… wanna trade? =P Thanks for sharing your work!
ISn’t it adorable you guys? Seriously H, it looks fab. I wish my hair looked that good LOL.
Loving the new bloggy banner too!
The templates are simply yummy and your hair is cute and sophisitcated (all at the same time).
I love your curls, girl! I wish I had some. Unfortunately, mine is straight as a board. I have a cowl-lick on the back corner of my head that sticks straight up and parts when I cut it shorter than 2″ all over.
Thanks for the freebies!
Thank you so much!!! This is great
You look really cute with you new hair.
Thanks a lot for the two great templates.
The new haircut is so cute! I like it both ways actually. But I think it’s a keeper. I wish my hair would do that. If I try to wear my hair curly, I end up looking like a gigantic q-tip! Not a pretty picture, trust me. Thanks bunches for the two templates!
Heather your new hairstyle looks great! It might take you a while to get used to it but at least it’s hair and can (with time) grow back. It was such a nice thing you did! Thanks too for the new template : )
Love the haircut! It looks great on you!
Thank you for another great template!
Hugs

Love the new haircut!! You are SO LUCKY to have naturally curly hair (this is from the only female in an extended family who does NOT have curly hair…grrrr). And thanks so much for the awesome template!!
Thanks for the template!! LOVE the curls….they look fantastic!
Thank you so much for the templates!
Your hair is looking very nice
Thanks for the template. Cute curls.
From a newcomer’s perspective, I’ll admit to liking the old hairstyle better. Perhaps because I also went from long to short in one fell swoop and still not acclimated yet. However, the short is cute and the curls are definitely a plus.
Sunday greetings,
Enid from Belize City
I love it – so cute! Thanks ever so much. And your hair looks wonderful! I think you may have inspired me to do mine!
The haircut is adorable on you! Thanks for great template.
