That is the question!
My dad’s side is having the Memorial Day get together at my grandma’s house today. 50 people in a small house, no room to sit but on the floor. LOL Usually it’s fun, I shouldn’t make it sound like it isn’t. It’s at 1 today which is in 2 1/2 hours and it’s a 40 minute drive or so. The baby is sleeping, the kids and I all need showers, the kids are fighting, I just sent them to seperate corners, and I want to design. Oh, and I need to make something to take with us cuz it’s a pot luck.
I don’t waaannnnna go. Ok, I’m gonna feel crappy if my dad reads this. I love my family, I’m just feeling horribly lazy. I am not relishing the thought of a 40 minutes drive with two kids that can’t stand to be in the same room together right now and a baby who hates her car seat. Hates it hates it.
But then I feel bad, cuz I love seeing my family, and we don’t all get together often enough. And I’m really trying to get to my grandma’s more often. My grandpa passed away December 9, 2006. 7 days after Alyce was born. My grandpa and I were actually in the hospital at the same time, same hospital, different floors, and I couldn’t go up to see him. I just feel like my grandma is so happy when she sees us all together. And Grandma LOVES the babies! She had 12 of her own, 11 lived and 1 died during childbirth. It’s a big family get together when we have a family get together. LOL
Oh, decisions decisions, I need to call my mom and see if they are going. I think my dad probably is, but is my mom? We shall soon see.

You should go…drag yourself if you have to. I usually feel the same way; especially since my grandmother lives 2 hours from us. Not to mention, we have a few mental cases (including my father) who tend to tick off several people before the end of the visit! Once you are on the road, it will begin to get better and better. By the time you get home tonight, you will be tired but glad you went! At least that is how it is for me~
