Not Everyone's Mama

Last night I had Alyce in a bright pink slipper with lime green froggy faces on her feet. She was sitting on my tummy cooing to me when she looked down and saw her feet. Her eyes got all big, and her mouth made a little o, and then she lunged and grabbed them. First time she has ever reached for something. It was just too cute. Wow! What is connected to the bottom of my legs!

Elmo’s batteries are dead. (Her little elmo floor toy) It could turn out to be a long day until daddy gets home with new batteries on break. LOL At least the swing has batteries still. She LOVES this swing. My neighbor’s sister gave me this swing, I think it’s called Nature’s Cradle. It’s got a papason seat and it swings side to side and back and forth. (She likes the side to side) It also has a mobile and a mirror, and makes water or cricket noises and has music. She LOVES it. She loves to talk to the pretty little baby in the mirror. When we put her in it, we ask her if she wants to play with her little friend for awhile. ) But that thing sucks down batteries. We go through 4 D’s ever 4 days or so. She won’t sleep unless she is in the swing or right up next to me nursing. So the swing gets a lot of use during the day. She hated our old swing. It was one of those open top gracos, no bells or whistles and she’d sit in it for maybe 3 minutes before the water works started. This new swing is a life saver! I can actually make dinner and take a shower every once in awhile.

Back to yesterday. My time with the girls, oh, so needed! It was like we never left each other and we just took up where we left off. Do you have a friend like that? You can go forever without seeing each other and when you get back together, it’s like you never spent any time apart? I got pictures of me and Danielle, me and Angie, and Angie and Danielle together, but I need to snap a pic of the 3 of us together so I can scrap all of it. And their kids! So cute! Although Magnum is 12, and probably wouldn’t want me to say how cute he is! LOL I saw him and said, are you too big for a hug? I loved that little boy like he was my own. I’m so sad I missed so much time in him and his brother’s life! I didn’t get to see Gage because he was home with strep throat. And Danielle’s little girls! Such pretty little things with big ol’ eyes! I’m so glad we are back together now while the girls are young so I can watch them grown up! Bree is 2 and I asked her if I could sit next to her and she patted the seat beside her. She just wanted my Mr Pibb. LOL She was all about that! And Alicia is just adorable! She’s 10 months and just a doll! She was all into her chicken nuggets. Didn’t care what we did or said, she wanted her nugget! Just such a happy little girl.

And my friends, they haven’t aged at all. They said I haven’t either. We all pretty much look the same as we did in high school. Ok, my bangs don’t hit the roof of the car anymore, and I wouldn’t fit into my cheer leading uniform, but other than that. LOL

We’ve decided that we are going to have a standing play date every Saturday. Get the kids together to play and we can just sit around and chat. I’m just so happy!

On a computer note, does anyone know why Internet Explorer might not be working? It won’t display web pages. It says all add ons are disabled, and when I go up to the top to manage add ons, it won’t show any, but when I go to my control panel, it shows they are all enabled. And my FireFox keeps having errors, so I’m having one heck of a time getting this posted.
