Braxton Hicks
Whoever said these “fake” contractions don’t hurt is a big ol’ fat liar!
I didn’t have any of these joyous things with Jordan, and just a couple with Miss Katiana. My God people, if I hadn’t known what real labor felt like after 2 kids, I would have been on the way to the hospital yesterday. They literally took my breath away. They’ve been creeping up on me, ya know, this little tightening, remindine me that I’m pregnant, as if I could forget. Yesterday, it was a not so gentle reminder of what labor was like. Me saying, “oh no, I don’t want to do this again!” They eased up when I stood up and walked around, which you, you ladies who have had the joy of expierencing real labor know, nothing eases those pains but an epidural.
I went to my chiropractor and said, “tell me please you can make these a little less intense.” He said, “yes.” I was in shock. I thought that was something that just came along with the pregnancy. He adjusted really really low on my back, tail bone area, and within 10 minutes I could sit and breathe at the same time. Before, sitting was the worst position, couldn’t breathe when they hit.
I’ve only had a couple this morning, and they’ve been like what you would expect braxton hicks to be, little contractions that aren’t that painful. I love my chiropractor.
